Ensembles

The ​“Marching Storm” is Lightridge’s marching band, who performs at football games and com­pe­ti­tions throughout the fall. Each year, then band performs a different show combining music, formations, and visual effects.

The Wind Ensemble is Lightridge’s premier concert ensemble comprising students who have shown a high degree of skill and dedication to music.

The Symphonic Band is Lightridge’s advanced concert ensemble.

Concert Band 2 contains primarily 9^th and 10^th grade students, and performs more advanced music to grow and expand their musical careers.

Concert Band 1 is composed of 9^th grade students, and introduces them to new and challenging music to grow and expand their musical careers.

The Jazz Ensemble brings together a smaller group of musicians with expanded instru­men­ta­tion, and focuses on the rhythmic and engaging genre of Jazz.

The Lightridge United Sound program provides an opportunity for our exceptional education students to work with Lightridge Band members to learn an instrument and make great friendships. More information about United Sound programs around the U.S.A can be found at Unitedsound​.org

The Pep Band is Lightridge’s spirit ensemble for indoor sports. Pep Band helps keep the energy high for Bolt Basketball games throughout the winter.

The Percussion Ensemble is a percussion-only concert group that showcases the breadth and depth of percussive music.

The Winter Guard carries the visual and technical color guard beyond the marching band season. Winter Guard competes in indoor events throughout the state during the Winter months.
